It is obvious that the City of Chicago needs a change.
Great Chicago mayors saw the city through the residents’ eyes, they took every opportunity to improve Chicago, regardless of the neighborhood. They provided a bold vision for the future and managed the city’s resources responsibly, and they put the residents first.
I grew up in Chicago. I witnessed it thrive on a reputation of boundless opportunity. With abundant natural resources, ample transportation, commerce and entertainment, and a population that is eager to work, this great city has it all.
This fantastical version of the past is not the Chicago people see when they turn on the news. Some question our ability to bounce back after the pandemic, if our restaurants and small businesses will once again thrive. Many question the safety of our neighborhoods and the future of our industries.
